Solar and wind power plants are the very first which were qualified as power plants based on renewable energy sources in Russia.
This decision was made on March, 17, during Non-Profit Partnership “Market Council” (council for organizing efficient system of trading at wholesale and retail electricity and capacity market) committee session.
Qualification is received due to simplifying of the qualifying procedure from the 1st of February. It is to be pointed out, that the modification of qualification regulations for renewable energy power plants has led to positive drastic simplification in qualification requirements, which earlier were unreasonably strict for renewable energy companies.
