A scientific-practical conference “Biotechnologies: up-to date state and perspectives of waste processing development in agricultural industry” was held on the 10th of October as a part of agro industrial exhibition “golden autumn”, which was jointly organized by Ministry of Agriculture of Russian Federation, Russian engineering academy of management and agrobusiness and all-Russian exhibition center “VDNKh”. Among the participants of this event were representatives of State Duma of the Russian Federation, Federation Council, Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Ministry of natural resources and environment of the Russian Federation, Ministry of industry and trade of the Russian Federation, Federal Tariff Service, representatives of agro industrial complexes governing bodies, representatives of agribusiness, associations of research and development centers members and also foreign specialists.
Among report subjects were “Basis of state policy for creating favourable conditions for usage of biomass and wastes”, “Development of renewable energy sources in Russia”, “Biotechnologies in the system of state regulation in the area of energy saving and improvement of energy efficiency “.
General Manager of OOO “AltEnergo” Mr. Victor Filatov has presented to the audience his report under the title “Experience of processing of agricultural wastes at biogas power plants”, where he depicted results and tasks of biogas energetics development in Belgorod region, problematic issues and their solutions, as well the results of Belgorod institute of alternative energetics agro laboratory and laboratorial biogas power plant research activities.
The biggest in the country biogas power plant “Luchki” of OOO “AltEnergo” during its operation time (which is now more than 2 years already) has already processed over 135 thousand tonnes of cattle and plant breeding waste, from which was produced nearly 38 million kilowatt*hours of so –called “green energy”. Moreover, residues of recycled waste were processed to organic biofertilizers.
To study the efficiency of biofertilizers OOO “AltEnergo” has founded agrolaboratory in 2012 with its total square 140 ha. Results of research activities has shown, that application of biofertilizers, produced as the result of biogas power plant “Luchki” operation, gives the improvement in soya yield at 20%, maize yield in 40%, while effluent, being organic biofertilizer, is almost equal in nutrients composition to mineral fertilizers composition. Experience of Belgorod in running the biogas power plant was taken into consideration by conference participants for further realization of such projects in future.
Among the result of scientific-practical conference “Biotechnologies: up-to date state and development perspectives of waste processing in agriculture” one can name a decision to found the association of consumers and manufacturers of bioenergetics technologies in agricultural sector.
